It's really hard to see what's going on in the World, especially the USA. I stand in solidarity with Black communities around the globe and I’m inspired by everyone who is fighting for racial justice and equality. I want to support the Black Lives Matter movement and have already personally donated to several funds. But it’s not enough. I’m inviting you to join me.
When you buy this song I did with my friend and long time activist Tunde Olaniran (a queer Black artist from Flint, Michigan), all proceeds will go directly to Black Youth Project 100 (www.byp100.org). They are a Black-Led, youth-led abolitionist group in the USA with dozens of chapters across the country, and do many things including train people to lead direct action protests. BYP100 works tirelessly to end inequality, to stop gender violence against black women, girls, femmes and other non-conforming people.
So please feel free to give as much as you can. It's for a better world that we all urgently need.
